Gaylord Box Information
A gaylord box also known as a bulk box or pallet box and is a very large, heavy duty box. They vary in size, and thickness and their weight capacities vary from 1,000 lbs to 2,500 lbs. Gaylords are meant to fit on a standard size pallet. They are a great way to utilize traveling space and are also commonly used in the scrap and recycling industries. Gaylord boxes are generated from bio-degradable fabric which not only makes them very durable, they are also reusable, recyclable and are eco-friendly! These boxes are generally anywhere from 2 walls thick to 9 walls thick and come in two forms which are closed bottom and partial bottom with a slip sheet.

This is a close up photo of the "walls" on a gaylord box. These S shaped flutes make up the boards corrugation and are essentially what reinforce the boards strength making it an extremely heavy duty box great for scrap metal, electronics, alloys & resins, packages etc.
